In 2019, my world was shattered when my then 9-year-old son was diagnosed with leukemia. We fought alongside him for two and a half years, clinging to hope with every ounce of strength we had. For a while, it seemed like our prayers had been answered, he was in remission, his health was flourishing, and we dared to dream of a future beyond cancer. However, in November 2023, our worst nightmare became a devastating reality. The cancer returned with a vengeance, mercilessly snatching away our hopes and dreams. In just 20 days, my beloved son, my brave warrior, was gone, leaving behind an unfathomable void in our hearts.
Driven by the profound grief, I felt compelled to create a platform, a sanctuary where grieving hearts could find refuge, where pain could be shared openly and without judgment, and where the light of hope could pierce through even the darkest of nights. Thus, Grieving Hearts United was born, a haven for those navigating the treacherous waters of grief, a beacon of light guiding souls through the storm all while healing together through meditation, sound and community.
